Top 10 reasons to join RKU Centre for Excellence in PR-Corporate Communication

Many institutions today teach PR-Corporate Communication. Some are in your own state or in your country. Then why to join at Ramoji Krian Universe at Hyderabad? The reasons are numerous. The top ones are listed below.
PR and Corporate Communication was considered as solely Media Relations earlier. Though Media is still an extremely crucial piece, PR has progressed beyond only media relations. Instead of leveraging media for the organization purpose, the challenge for a modern day PR professional is to offer media with relevant information that serves both, the organization and the journalist. With 24/7 splash of news through audio visual and online media, we need to partner media. It needs a different skill and an approach that is mostly ignored by conventional media schools.

We have now arrived at a very interesting domain of reputation management. We need to manage reputation of an organization through various stakeholders, which is much bigger, diverse and sometimes sensitive and critical.

At RKU, we summarize our offering in 10 critical points to survive and prosper in this ecosystem.

One, we will train you on how to build and manage Reputation of your organization. Two, how to transform your company’s leadership into a category leadership. Let’s take an example of Biocon. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw is often considered as a voice of Indian Biotechnology Industry. To many, she is known much more than her organization. The challenge for a Corporate Communicator is how to turn your leader in an industry leader in terms of presence, share of voice and respect. Three, at RKU, our PR and Corporate Communications course is experiential, meaning it will help you learn through your experience. There will be a lot of practical sessions to help you learn the intricacies of the subject.

Four, we offer a historical perspective and a holistic knowledge with a focus on a strategic overview, while exposing you to a series of cutting-edge tools and technologies, including PR research, measuring PR impact, training in various relevant designing software, use of photographs, videos etc.

Five, one of our major focus of this course will be developing writing skills, for you to succeed in the highly competitive PR-Corporate Communication industry.

Six, our digital-social module will enable you to leverage social-digital medium in this ever-changing global digital landscape.

Seven, our extensive case study based Crisis Communications module will equip you with the know-how to address crisis situations. Our PR for Government and development sector module is unique and will be a significant value-add to your career.

Eight, we will equip you with a host of soft skills to excel globally. Nine,  as a creative learner, in this multidisciplinary environment, you will be able to interact with students from diverse creative background. And Ten, we will also offer you with internships to further solidify your knowledge as you will be able to apply the skills that you learn here in your workplace.

All these, besides a picturesque campus amidst Ramoji Film City, a famed destination spread across 2000 acres of land. A hotspot of industry interaction. And accomplished faculty members from prestigious institutions including MICA, FTII, ETV, Reuters, Symbiosis with long years of rich industry experience.
